Service Description

Thursday 18th November 2021:  10.00h-16.00h If you've never heard of gel plate printing you're in for a treat. The gel plate is ideal for creating background colour and texture and perfect for making mixed media journal pages or a finished piece of art. The process can be repeated many times to build up layers of colour and texture to create the final artwork. As a starting point for your card designs, we will explore the process using acrylic and metallic paints, distress oxide inks, sprays and crayons, stencils, masks, texture plates, markers and mark making. Using your selection of prints you will then embellish and work further on your designs before making your cards. Embellishments may include buttons, ribbons, washi tape, coloured and vintage papers - in fact anything that comes to hand! Level:  All (no experience necessary). Class duration:  6 hours includes 1 hour break for lunch. Info:  All materials are included although you are welcome to bring your own items for embellishing your piece if you'd like.  Class size:  6 (minimum of 4 people required for class to take place)
